This is a very short segment during the wedding, and only requires thirty to forty-five seconds of music.
Whatever is chosen will need to be abridged so that music does not run too long.
“And On This Day” by Tina English
“I Have Loved You” by Michael Joncas
“I Will Be With You” by James E. Moore
Hymns that have reflective text of the gifts of bread and wine are the most popular choices. You may know some of these hymns, or you may enter the titles into YouTube.

The Eyes and Hands of Christ
Gift of Finest Wheat
One Bread, One Body
Table of Plenty
Taste and See (James. E. Moore)
Unless a Grain of Wheat

If you have a particular setting that you are familiar with and wish to have played, please notify the Music Coordinator. Otherwise, the current Mass setting that is being used at the current time of year will be played and sung.

LENT: ‘Mass of Creation’
EASTER: ‘Missa Pacem’
ORDINARY TIME: ‘Mass of Remembrance’ or ‘Sing Praise and Thanksgiving Mass’
You may choose a second song from Offertory Hymn (above) to serve as the Communion hymn.
If the couple chooses to spend time at the Holy Family statue in prayer and offer a bouquet of flowers to the Virgin Mary, a “Marian” song is what is placed here. “Ave Maria” by Schubert is the most-popular choice. A “Marian” hymn may also be used (Hail, Holy Queen Enthroned Above; Hail Mary, Gentle Woman)
“Hornpipe” by Handel
“Ode to Joy” by Beethoven (“Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee”)
“Wedding March” by Mendelssohn
