Every two years, the National Catholic Youth Conference or NCYC hosts 20,000 young Catholics and their chaperones in the Lucas Oil Stadium (aka “Colts Stadium”) in Indianapolis. Youth ministers, campus ministers, parents, catechists, priests, coaches, and scout leaders can be a chaperone. Participants come together to pray, learn, and grow in their faith.
In addition there are opportunities for participants to receive the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation, attend general sessions and breakout sessions, and gather for various service projects. These sessions focus around living as a disciple of Christ in today's world, visit with organizations that provide resources and other support to youth and youth ministry, spend time in personal and communal prayer, and engage in service to others.
We will be staying at the JW Marriot, 10 S. West Street, Indianapolis, IN 469204.
Cost to attend is $200 for youth participants, chaperones attend for free. As a group, we will be traveling by van on Thursday, November 16th and returning on Sunday, November 19th. We will be using the buddy system during NCYC breakout sessions and activities.
Chaperones must contact Kyle Groves before trying to register. You will need to submit a copy of your VIRTUS certificate and have a background check on file that has been no longer than a year old.
