St. Stephen Hands On Ministry

The Corporal Works of Mercy - found in the teachings of Christ - include feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless.  

PADS Ministry to the Homeless: Our Hands On Ministry had previously served monthly at PADS church based emergency shelters.  However, due to the pandemic, church based shelters have closed and PADS now houses guests in a local motel.  Our team now provides meals monthly for PADS guests.
 
Catholic Charities Meals Program:  Our volunteers had previously provided dinner meals to those in need at local churches including St. Christopher Midlothian and St. Anne Church Hazel Crest.   Again, due to Covid, Catholic Charities has closed their dine in program and now offers meals on a carry out basis only.

St Stephen Meals Program:  St Stephen now offers a weekly Friday dinner on a carry out basis.  Because many have stepped forward, our Hands On Ministry volunteers normally serve once every six to eight weeks.  This includes both our cook team and on site volunteers.
