Please note that the information below was pre-pandemic and is for reference as of right now. We are working to update our offerings. Check back for future details and information.
St. Stephen Parish offers various children's liturgies throughout the year. Each special ministry is explained below.
Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
- CLOW is offered at the 11 AM Mass weekly. No registration is needed. After the opening prayer, the children are dismissed and go to the classrooms with the Children’s Liturgy of the Word catechists to hear the Gospel at an age appropriate level.
Family Mass
- The Family Mass is a wonderful way for parents and their children to come together and celebrate Mass. Offered once a month, the 10 AM Family Mass encourages our parish families with young to junior high aged children to participate in the Mass as a family unit. No pre-registration is needed. If you would like to participate in a special role (reader, offertory gifts, etc.), please contact the Religious Education Office.
Grade Level Masses
- Religious Education coordinates grade level Masses throughout the year. All take place at the 11 AM Mass. Students in that grade level and their families are invited to attend.
Living Stations of the Cross
- During Lent, our teen group performs the Living Stations of the Cross on the evening of Good Friday. Rehearsals for Living Stations usually begin at the end of January/beginning of February. Please watch the bulletin for details.
May Crowning
- In May, children are invited to participate in our May Crowning Mass honoring Mary. Sign up information is posted in the bulletin.
Christmas Eve Nativity Liturgy
- Children of St. Stephen parish in grades one through eight are invited to participate in the Christmas Eve Nativity Liturgy at the 5 PM Children’s Mass. At this Mass, the children present the Christmas Gospel. Sign-ups are required as the nativity liturgy requires practices. Details on how to sign up are published in the bulletin in late November/early December.
